Whaaat?

"Treu la llengua de l'armari" is our motto, and it translates to "Bring the Catalan language out of the closet!"

It's a playful pun in Catalan, where "llengua" means both "language" and "tongue." This fun phrase is all about celebrating the Catalan language with pride. So go ahead, let your "llengua" shine!

Who are we?

We are a group of volunteers and activists dedicated to promoting the use of the Catalan language within the LGBTIQ+ community in Catalan-speaking territories.

What do we seek?

Our mission is non-profit and driven by a passion for language and inclusion.

We work to create a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTIQ+ community in Sitges, welcoming Catalan speakers, visitors, and learners of Catalan alike. Whether you're a local or a tourist exploring the vibrant town of Sitges, we invite you to join us in celebrating linguistic and cultural diversity.

Our goal is to make a positive impact on the LGBT scene in Sitges by ensuring that the Catalan language has a prominent place in LGBT venues and activities, as well as in other initiatives that support the language. We believe that language can be a powerful tool for fostering inclusion and equality, and that's why we are committed to working with Catalan terms related to sexual and gender diversity.
